Meet The Specialists
Dr. Mitchell Hoberman, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, received his Psy.D. from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology and his B.S. from The University of Maryland. He completed his pre-doctoral internship at the Village of Hoffman Estates Department of Health and Human Services where he provided individual and family therapy and was also involved in the planning and implementation of community prevention and wellness programming.
Dr. Hoberman has experience in a variety of community-based, private practice, and hospital settings. He specializes in working with children, adolescents, adults, and their families with a variety of concerns including anxiety and mood disorders, behavioral difficulties, adjustment and life transitions, ADHD, and career counseling. He is also particularly interested in the stress associated with the parenting of young children and issues surrounding religion and spirituality. Dr. Hoberman also specializes in psychological testing for ADHD, academic difficulties, as well as emotional, behavioral, and personality concerns.
Dr. Hoberman enjoys working with clients of all ages. He utilizes empirically supported treatments including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness based techniques. He believes that it is essential to take into consideration the unique qualities and need of each client and family, and provide a supportive therapeutic environment to discuss their concerns. During his leisure time he enjoys spending time with his family and friends, as well participating in and watching sports.
