Meet The Specialists

Kristen Gulliver, Psy.D.

Dr. Kristen Gulliver, Licensed Clinical Psychologist, earned her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, with an emphasis on child & adolescent psychology and neuropsychology. She received her B.A. in psychology from the University of Connecticut. Dr. Gulliver completed her pre-doctoral internship at Nova Southeastern University’s Psychology Service Center, in the School-related Psychological Assessments and Clinical Interventions (SPACI) clinic.

Dr. Gulliver specializes in comprehensive psychoeducational and neuropsychological evaluations for attention and learning disabilities, social-emotional difficulties, intellectual functioning, and diagnostic clarification. Other areas of specialization include treatment with ADHD, disruptive behavior disorders, anxiety, depression, school-related difficulties, and family stressors. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families with various concerns across a variety of settings (i.e., university-affiliated outpatient clinics, schools, community mental health centers, and hospitals).

Dr. Gulliver’s approach to therapy incorporates ongoing assessment and progress monitoring. She remains educated on the current research to inform her treatment, and utilizes evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), parent behavior management training, and solution-focused interventions. In addition, Dr. Gulliver believes it is important to individualize treatment to each client and encourages family involvement in treatment when appropriate.

Her research interests include examining the contributing factors and most effective treatment modalities when working with co-morbid ADHD and anxiety disorders. Outside of work, she enjoys the performing arts and attending plays, running, and spending time with her family and friends.
