Donna Bartlett, MSW

Donna Bartlett, Clinical Social Worker, has worked with adolescents and families since 1993. For over fifteen years, Donna worked as a truant officer for DuPage County supporting students in both the court and school systems. She currently advocates for students while working as the school liaison at Linden Oaks Hospital. She is very familiar with the local school districts and well versed in special education programs and IEP and 504 plans.

Donna earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Lewis University, Masters of Art in Teaching from National Louis University and obtained her Masters in Social Work from Aurora University. Donna has recently been certified in Gottman Level I for couples counseling.

Donna is comfortable working with all ages and a wide variety of concerns. She brings compassion, dignity, and humor to the therapy process. Due to her extensive school liaison experience, she is able to work with school personnel closely and will advocate for her clients whenever necessary.

Working from a strength and systems perspective, Donna utilizes cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques, and also uses pragmatic approaches to problem-solving and treatment. Her years working with adolescents and families in the court system, school system, and hospital setting can be invaluable for families and adolescents, as she continues to understand the challenges teens and their families face on a daily basis and how social media can be a factor in some of those challenges. Donna strives to help teens and young adults take ownership of their lives by helping them strengthen their self-awareness, decision making, and abilities to interact with their peers and others socially.

Donna is married and has two sons that keep her busy. She is an avid Cubs fan, loves watching her sons play sports and other activities, and values her time with family and friends. She enjoys working out, reading a good book and going to many baseball games!
