A Better Understanding of Child Development
Aligning your expectations with your child's changing developmental stages. This seminar will outline important developmental milestones and explain normal age-appropriate behavior. You will learn what's reasonable to expect at each stage of development and how to best respond to promote your child's healthy development.

Disciplined Redefined: Managing Your Child's Behavior
Whether you're the parent of a toddler or teenager, you know that parenting can be challenging -- even overwhelming at times. Unfortunately, children don't come with an instruction manual. And being a parent doesn't always mean that you automatically or instinctively know what to do. This seminar offers an informative and intriguing look into the sometimes challenging and difficult behaviors commonly exhibited by children. A framework for understanding your child's development and behavior is presented, and language and suggestions for dealing with difficult behaviors as they arise are offered.

Topics to be addressed include: an overview of the social/emotional world of children, understanding learned behaviors through modeling and consequences, family rules & consistency, effective praise, common but ineffective strategies, and helpful resources.

Sweet Dreams: Helping Your Child with Sleep Problems
Does your infant, toddler or primary school child keep you awake night after night? Learn how to evaluate and treat the most common sleep problems, including nighttime awakening or crying, bedtime refusal, nightmares and night terrors, and night-time bedwetting. It will be an eye-opening experience!
