Meet Our Specialists
Our experience is the result of extensive training, years in the field and a commitment to continuing education. We have over 60 years of combined experience in psychology. All of our clinical psychologists are members of the American Psychological Association.
Susan Myket, Ph.D.

A graduate of Northern Illinois University's Clinical Psychology Program, Child Track, Dr. Myket completed her pediatric postdoctoral fellowship at Linden Oaks Hospital at Edward. She went on to develop the Anxiety Outpatient Treatment Program for the hospital and then an Anxiety Clinic in local private practice with Dr. Mark McKee.
Before completing her professional training in the States, Dr. Myket worked in Zimbabwe with children, adolescents and families in crisis. She has also worked in schools, research centers, child development clinics and residential facilities. As a licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Myket is interested in the variety of issues that clients come to see her about. Some of these include: anxiety, parenting, eating disorders, depression, relationship problems and adjustment difficulties.
Adept at research-supported therapies, she consistently strives to deliver expert treatment with a caring and individualized approach. Dr. Myket is a professional member of the Anxiety Disorders Association of America, the APA Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, the National Eating Disorders Association and the Obsessive-Compulsive Foundation. As a local resident, she enjoys reading, participating in church activities and going on long walks with her family.
Janet Patton, Ph.D.

Dr. Patton is a graduate of University of Georgia's counseling psychology program. She completed a two-year pre and postdoctoral fellowship in pediatric and child psychology at Yale University's Child Study Center. She has held faculty appointments at Tufts and Emory University's Schools of Medicine and has worked in hospitals, university and community clinics and schools. A licensed clinical psychologist, she enjoys the variety of issues children and families come to see her about, including anxiety, depression, parenting and behavioral concerns, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, relationship problems and adjustment difficulties. Dr. Patton has also worked with children coping with various medical illnesses and has specialized training in behavioral medicine/pediatric issues including coping, adherence and pain management. She also has extensive experience in psychological and psychoeducational assessment. Dr. Patton's treatment is grounded in cognitive-behavioral principles and empirically supported treatments, which she blends with interpersonal principles to develop treatment plans that fit her clients' individual needs. She is a professional member of the Society of Pediatric Psychology, the Society of Clinical Child and Adolescent Psychology, the Society for Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics and the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies. She enjoys spending time with her family, reading, running and movies.
Melissa Katz, Psy.D.

Dr. Katz received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology with a Child, Adolescent and Family specialization from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Her experience in community-based treatment centers and pediatric hospitals has allowed her to develop strong psychodiagnostic assessment skills and effective therapeutic relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of needs. Areas of specialization include children with ADHD and behavioral disorders, early childhood intervention, autism spectrum disorders, trauma and loss, program development and evaluation, and community-based consultation. Dr. Katz integrates evidence-based treatments with systemic and dynamic approaches that focus on the unique needs and strengths of every child and family. She strives to embrace the individual and multicultural factors that offer opportunities to foster spirit, wellness and growth. Dr. Katz is a member of the American Psychological Association, Illinois Psychological Association and Association for Play Therapy. She enjoys laughing with friends and family, running, knitting and playing with her new puppy.
Glen Veed, Ph.D.

Dr. Veed received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Nebraska in Lincoln with a Child and Family specialization. While he specializes in working with adolescents, he has also worked extensively with children and their families. He has experience with a variety of presenting complaints, including disruptive behavior, school difficulty, pain, anxiety, trauma, depression and sexual behavior problems. In addition, Dr. Veed routinely conducts diagnostic, intellectual and neuropsychological assessments with children, adolescents and adults. He has worked in multiple settings, including outpatient clinics, residential facilities, hospitals and primary care centers. He comes to us most recently from the Nebraska Internship Consortium in Professional Psychology, where he worked primarily with individuals in rehabilitation for brain and spinal cord injuries. Dr. Veed strongly believes in using psychological interventions that are supported by solid research evidence. He also advocates tracking client outcomes so that observable progress can be demonstrated and shared with families. When not working, Dr. Veed enjoys reading, theatre, film, spending time with family and friends, and exploring all the dining and entertainment Chicagoland has to offer!

Teri Hull, Ph.D.

Dr. Hull received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the Institute of Psychology at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago. She completed her predoctoral internship at the University of Chicago Medical Center, focusing on clinical child and pediatric psychology. A licensed clinical psychologist, Dr. Hull specializes in treating children, adolescents and families experiencing difficulties such as behavior disorders, depression, anxiety, ADHD, learning disorders, relationship and family problems and eating disorders. She has worked in a variety of settings, including public and private hospitals, schools, community mental health centers and psychiatric inpatient units.
Dr. Hull is dedicated to providing scientifically supported therapy techniques in a compassionate manner designed to meet each client's specialized needs. Her treatment perspective incorporates cognitive-behavioral and family systems theories with innovate techniques such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Dr. Hull is also adept at conducting psychological evaluations and psychoeducational assessments. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking and running.
Rachel Loftin, Ph.D.

Rachel Loftin, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and school psychologist. Dr. Loftin specializes in evaluations, consultation and interventions for children, adolescents and adults with autism spectrum disorders (ASD). She has an extensive background in educational, behavioral and social intervention approaches for individuals with ASDs and related conditions. She is particularly interested in the assessment of children with comorbidities and other complex diagnostic presentations.
Dr. Loftin received her Ph.D. from Indiana University and completed pre- and postdoctoral child psychology training at the Yale Child Study Center, where she was the Fellow in Developmental Disorders. Dr. Loftin previously held a faculty position at the University of Illinois at Chicago. At Yale and UIC, she was involved with several major research studies of ASDs. Her personal research interests include social skills intervention and collateral behavior change.
Jessica Schultz, M.A., LCPC

Jessica Schultz, M.A., LCPC, is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Autism Consultant with almost 10 years of experience in working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs). Ms. Schultz received her M.A. in Clinical Psychology from Roosevelt University in 2006. She specializes in consultation and interventions for children, adolescents and young adults. She has an extensive background in educational, behavioral and social intervention approaches for individuals with ASDs. She is also a structured teaching trainer, and uses physical and visual structure, schedules and other visual supports to teach and assist individuals with autism in all environments. In addition, Ms. Schultz enjoys working with parents and siblings of children with autism.
